Hi my name is Beth and I will be writing blog posts to help you on your journey towards a healthier lifestyle.
To start off let me tell you a little bit about me, I am currently the manager for LivingWise across North Lincolnshire, where I hold a number of responsibilities including the delivery of LivingWise’s weight management programme Momenta. I’m a Registered Nutritionist with a degree in Applied Human Nutrition where I have worked across communities and the food industry, in roles such as a Community Nutritionist working in schools and within an NHS Weight Management service.
I wanted to start this blog as a way to help motivate you alongside our LivingWise service. I personally believe that we can all find something to make an improvement to our lifestyle, whether that be related to our food intake or how active we are. At LivingWise we are not setting out to tell people what they should or shouldn’t be doing but, we are passionate about trying to support people to make healthier choices.
If I am honest I would not proclaim to follow a perfect healthy lifestyle 100% of the time, or that I never enjoy a sweet treat at times! Anyone would be lying if they said that they did, even with the best intentions life events sometimes get in the way! However, I do try to practice what I preach, but it’s all about moderation and balance.
This is why LivingWise is so great. We are here to help you discover ways in which you can change your lifestyle around for the better. I hope that people will take on board small but positive changes as a result of joining the programme and reading this blog.
